Ever since its introduction in the mid-80`s, Soloist grabbed the spotlights and became the industry`s standard for metal-oriented guitars with classic double-cut bodies. Along with the slightly smaller Dinky (1/8 smaller than Soloist), Soloist ruled and still rules the Superstrat domain. Jackson has introduced a multitude of Soloists for 2016, mostly the updated and refined versions of the JS, X and Pro models introduced in recent years. SLATTXMG 3-6 Soloist is one of them. It is a vicious metal beast with neck-through-body construction, EMG pickups, Jackson hardware and string-through-body design. SLATTXMG 3-6 Soloist kicks off with a simple carved-top body made of basswood and one-piece maple neck made with Speed profile. The neck is topped with a now standard fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets, compound 12"-16" radius and 1-11/16" wide string nut. The fingerboard is inlaid with Piranha markers and framed in white binding. EMG`s 81 and 85 pickups deliver the classic "extra metal growl" performance and can be used for both the traditional and modern metal styles. Master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch comprise a simple controls unit. String-through hardtail bridge and die-cast Jackson tuners eliminate all of the major and minor tuning and intonation issues with ease. A wide color palette is offered with this affordable X series Soloist ($799.99 is the starting price).
