Jackson`s Soloist was introduced back in 1984, three years after the original Dinky. It soon became the standard among the Superstrat guitars of the period. Today, Soloist is in a league of its own, with hundreds of copies and fakes around the market. For 2016, Jackson has prepared several Soloist models, mostly for the X and Pro series. These 2016 models are mainly updates and improved versions of the 2015 Soloist lineup. X Series Soloist SLXTQ is one of them. It belongs to the acclaimed X series. It costs around $800 and comes in Natural with glossy finish and black hardware.
X Series Soloist SLXTQ is a classic Soloist guitar with six strings, standard 25-1/2" scale, neck-through-body construction and passive electronics. Solid and double-cut body of this speed demon is made of basswood wings, maple center (neck) and a gorgeous quilt maple top. The neck sports the ultra modern Speed profile in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (1-11/16" nut, Sharkfin inlays, compound 12"-16" radius).
Duncan Designed HB-103 humbuckers fill both the bridge and neck pickup positions. They deliver a strong, massive tone with a robust low end. It`s perfect for modern types of hard rock and metal. String-through tune-o-matic bridge and Jackson tuners complete the specs list.
