CC 55 Flame is a somewhat limited edition (Custom Collection, as Michael Kelly dubbed it) guitar, assembled of the most requested features from the fans of the regular 1955. The "somewhat limited" means that it`s not just a one-off thing, that it will be periodically available. CC 55 Flame is made in Blue Jean Wash, Michael Kelly`s most popular transparent finish. It`s also got natural back, classic white pickguard, and chrome-plated hardware. Core construction features include a swamp ash body (contoured back), flame maple top (bookmatched, two-piece construction), maple neck (modern C profile, bolt-on joint) and maple fingerboard (22 medium jumbo frets, standard compound fingerboard radius, 1.69" bone nut). Main hardware and electronics features include a Tele-style bridge, die-cast tuners and Rockfield pickups (humbucker/minibucker combo).
