Patriot Special is one of the budget models in the Patriot series made by Michael Kelly Guitars. This one comes with a stripped down specs list and flat-top construction. Also, instead of the standard H/H configuration of pickups, Patriot Special comes with a set of two P-90 pickups made by Michael Kelly. The tone is not as powerful as with dual humbucker combo, but is a lot stronger than with regular singles. Controls unit for these pickups is a standard one, featuring master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Wrap around bridge is a standard for Patriot`s Special level. Body of this model is solid, single-cut and made of mahogany. Set in mahogany neck is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
