John Petrucci`s signature series in Music Man features several six and seven-stringed axes, all based on the classic John Petrucci 6. JP13 is a 2013 model, featuring most of the classic specs, but with alternative tonewood selection. There`s only one color option - Platinum Silver. JP13 is a seemingly simple electric guitar, though it hides many aces up its sleeves. The body is made of basswood and features the traditional beveled maple top. The neck on the opposite side is made of select mahogany. It is bolted to the body and features a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Petrucci`s custom electronics system with two DiMarzio humbuckers and piezo pickup (tucked within the bridge) reprises its role on JP13, as well. Custom tremolo bridge and locking Schaller tuners complete the specs list.
