Collection Series is a part of the Private Stock division and this is its ninth incarnation. The Collection Series IX is a limited edition model introduced in 2015. It will be available in thirty copies, fifteen with curly maple top and fifteen with quilt maple top. Under the hood, these two are, however, one and the same guitar. Both Collection Series IX variants come with a double-cut mahogany base coated only in gloss lacquer (only the top is painted on Collection Series IX axe). Mahogany neck is topped with an African blackwood fingerboard with 22 frets and custom designed inlays. Pickups on this model are PRS`s own 58/15 humbuckers. One volume knob, one tone with a push/pull switch and the standard 3-way toggle pickup switch comprise the controls unit. Non-locking tremolo bridge and PRS tuners complete the specs list.
