David Grissom and Paul Reed Smith had come u with the first David Grissom model more than 20 years ago. Since then, numerous tweaks and improvements have been introduced, particularly in hardware and electronics areas. Today`s DGT is in David`s words, "a product of many miles down the road".
Current 2017 DGT is a part of the Core series lineup, together with Mark Tremonti, Gary Grainger, Santana and Paul Reed Smith signature models. It is based on a classic McCarty and rocks following core appointments: solid mahogany body base, figured maple top (two-piece top, classic PRS contour), mahogany neck (set-in joint, custom DGT profile) and rosewood fingerboard (faux bone binding, jumbo frets, 25" scale, Moons inlays).
A pair of splittable DGT humbucker pickups (w/push-pull on the master tone knob), Phase III locking tuners and PRS trem bridge complete this blues machine.
