Custom 22 is the closest sibling of the most legendary PRS of them all - Custom 24. Over the years, 22 and 24 were treated as different models (though 22 is the direct descendant of PRS`s debut guitar), but in 2017 these two icons of the solid body world get the same pickups as well as other appointments.
2017 Custom 22 starts off with a solid, double-cut mahogany body base, two-piece figured maple top (plain maple tops are available on solid colors), mahogany neck (pattern profile, glued-in construction) and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (25" scale, Bird inlays). Vast range of transparent, burst and solid color options is available for Custom 22.
Main hardware and electronics appointments include Gen III Trem bridge (previously only available on Private Stock models), Phase III locking PRS tuners and 85/15 pickups.
