Custom 24 was the first commercially available guitar built and designed by Paul Reed Smith. It made its debut back in 1985, and still remains the main pillar of he PRS catalog. Distinctive body shape, 24-fret fingerboard, pattern-shaped neck and 25" scale are the Custom 24`s hallmark even today.
2017 incarnation of the 24-fretted legend comes in with updated construction, hardware and electronics features. Core construction appointments include solid mahogany body base, figured maple top, glued-in mahogany neck (pattern and pattern thin profiles are available) and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (bird inlays, 25" scale).
Main hardware appointments include a Gen III Trem (an exclusive tremolo bridge previously available exclusively on Private Stock models) and Phase III locking PRS tuning machines, as well as classic black & white plastic parts. Super versatile 85/15 pickups set completes the specs list.
