S2 series is a brand new series in PRS electric guitars side of the catalog. The purpose of this series is to offer the genuine quality and tone of the top series models, but at a more affordable price. These guitars, there are three of them in the initial lineup, are not what everyone would call affordable, for they all cost over $1,000. But, when compared to the top PRS models, they do prove to be affordable variants. This affordability is achieved through stripped down styling and some other minor adjustments. S2 Mira is one of three models in the initial lineup of the series and it features the vintage styling on it`s standard double-cut body. Body is made of mahogany and together with the mahogany neck, it comprises the famous PRS all-mahogany construction. Top is beveled and has no top wood cover. Hardtail bridge is fronted with a pair of S2 Mira pickups. Open-coiled humbuckers are controlled with master volume, master tone and three-position blade switch. Mahogany neck on this model is topped with a standard 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Frets are marked with a set of dot inlays. The MSRP for this model is set at $1,179.
