Paul Reed Smith SE Santana Standard (2017)
SE Signature Electric Guitars by Paul Reed Smith
SE Signature Electric Guitars by Paul Reed Smith
The story of PRS and Santana`s signature models goes way back, it predates the official debut of the brand in 1985. Paul Reed Smith used to build Mr Santana custom guitars before the brand was launched and some of the models still bear the "Pre-Factory" designation.
SE Santana Standard is, quite obviously, inspired by those very early Santana models but does not qualify for the "Pre-Factory" badge, as its membership in SE series stipulates a strict set of features and appointments. Core construction features include an all-mahogany body (beveled top, almost symmetrical cutaway horns), mahogany neck (wide fat profile, glued to the body) and rosewood fingerboard (22 frets, 24.5" scale, Bird inlays).
Major hardware and electronics options include a PRS patented trem bridge, PRS-Designed tuners and SE 245 set of pickups.
