The S2 series is located beneath the Private Stock and Core ranges and is oriented towards working musicians. This means lower prices and no-frills approach to design, construction and tone. Standard and Custom tiers are currently available in Stevensville 2 series (the series is named after PRS`s hometown). S2 Custom 22 for 2017 comes in with a simple, road-tested set of features and appointments and a price tag which won`t bust the bank. Core construction features include a solid, double-cut mahogany body base, figured maple top (beveled contour, two-piece construction), mahogany neck (Pattern Regular profile, glued to the body) and rosewood fingerboard (22 frets, bird inlays, 25" scale). Major hardware and electronics features include a PRS Patented Tremolo (molded), PRS low mass locking tuners and 85/15 S humbuckers.
