S2 range deals with intermediate class basses and guitars. These are intermediate only by PRS standards, as the prices tags can reach well northwards of $1,000 for Custom tier (Standards come in around $1,000 mark). S2 Standard 24 is a vintage/modern axe, made to appeal to both the traditionalist PRS fans and contemporary players who want genuine PRS excellence on a budget. Core construction features of this 24-fretted workhorse include a solid mahogany (double-cut, beveled, covered with a black pickguard), mahogany neck (set-in, Pattern Regular profile) and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (dot inlays, 25" scale). Color palette features six options, four solid and two transparent. Main hardware and electronics features include a PRS tremolo bridge, locking tuners (also PRS) and 85/15 S humbuckers (with coil-splitting function).
