C models are the most important and best sold guitar shape in the entire Schecter catalog. They are based on the modern Soloist/Superstrat concept with rounded cutaway horns and carved tops. Currently, there are six, seven and eight-string variants throughout the catalog and Schecter is introducing even more C models for 2014. Blackjack series is being updated with several of these and ATX C-8 is one of them. It comes with a standard, solid and double-cut body made of mahogany. Neck is also made of mahogany, which makes for a fantastic basis for all types of heavy music. Aged Black Satin (known from the previous Blackjack models) and Vampyre Red Satin are available color schemes for this model. Both are finished in satin and fit with elegant black hardware. Seymour Duncan`s AHB Blackout humbuckers are installed on the top. Controls include two volume knobs, one tone and a three-position blade switch. Mahogany neck is made of three pieces of wood and fit with a thin C contour in the back. It is set in and combined with Schecter`s famous ultra access cutaway. On it`s top, Schecter installs a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with side dot inlays and extra jumbo-sized frets.
