Blackjack is one of the most important lines of electric guitars in Schecter catalog. Years ago, when it started out, it was made up mostly of C models (solid and double-cut guitars with carved tops). Along came the Solo (single-cut LP models), Avenger, Tempest and others. For 2014, a multitude of C (six-stringed C-1, C-7 and C-8) models is being introduced and this is one of them. Big and powerful C-8 Blackjack is a true metal beast with a solid mahogany body, Seymour Duncan passive pickups, set in neck and 28" long scale. Mahogany body is carved on the top and bound in red around the top. Schecter has assigned only one color option to this model, the standard Gloss Black with black hardware and red binding. Hardtail bridge on the top is fit with eight adjustable saddles and fronted with a Nazgul humbucker. Neck position is fit with a Sentient. Vol/vol/tone (with push/pull) and a three-position blade switch comprise the controls unit. Mahogany neck is wide and thin in the back. Ultra access cutaway allows a very easy access to the 24th fret. Ebony fingerboard with extra jumbo frets, side dot inlays and 2.12" wide TUSQ nut is installed on the top.
