Blackjack was first established as an alternative to the Hellraiser range which offered all-mahogany construction, EMG pickups and rosewood fingerboards. While retaining the all-mahogany construction, Schecter replaced rosewood with ebony fingerboards and EMGs were replaced by Seymour Duncan Blackouts. Recently, SLS division brought in maple necks. Blackjack SLS C-1 FR S P LH comes with a carved mahogany body, set maple neck and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard (standard SLS combo). Satin Black with multi-ply black binding and black chrome hardware is the only color option available. Seymour Duncan`s Full Shred TB-10 is paired with Schecter`s Sustainiac in the neck position. Almost unlimited range of tonal possibilities is at player`s disposal thanks to the amazing Sustainiac. Add a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge and Grover tuners and you`ve got a completely professional metal guitar.
