JLV-6 FR is a six string model from the V section of the Jeff Loomis signature guitars series in Schecter catalog. This axe has the same specs as the seven string model, with the exteptions of the scale length, number of strings and pickup combo. JLV-6 FR is a solid, V shaped guitar with a body made of ash wood. The top has beveled edges without binding or pickguards whatsoever. There is only one color option, satin black. Same as all of the Jeff Loomis v models, this one also has the same tail fins. The bridge is a Floyd Rose 1000 series bridge with six saddles, black chrome plating and a locking string nut. Pickups on this V are EMG`s classic and most widespread combo, the 81/85 pair of active humbuckers. They are controlled with a master volume and a three-way toggle switch. The neck is made of maple and has a set-in joint. Construction-wise, this neck has an advanced solution made up of three pieces of maple for increased durability and warp resistance. Maple fingerboard is equipped with 24 extra jumbo sized frets, which is a standard for Schecter`s metal oriented guitars and metal cross position inlays. The scale measures at 25-1/2" and tuning machines are Grovers.
