Schecter`s Blackjack SLS series is getting pumped up for the fall of 2012 with some brand new models. One of them is Special Edition Blackjack SLS Avenger FR-S. This Avenger comes with all of the BLackjack SLS trademark features plus some extra ones. Body of this model comes solid, with a double cutaway and made of mahogany. It is carved on the top and bound in several layers of black binding. Also, it is equipped with ultra access construction on the lower cutaway for the improved playability and easier reach towards the 24th fret. There are no pickguards or top wood veneers installed on the top of this body. Bridge section on this model is equipped with a Floyd Rose double locking tremolo system. It is a 1000 series model and it comes with black chrome binding. Pickups on this Avenger are passive humbuckers with extended controls unit. Bridge pickup is Seymour Duncan Full Shred SH-10, while the neck position features a Sustainiac. Master volume, master tone and three-way toggle pickup switch are accompanied by one two-position mini-switch and one three-position mini-switch. Both mini-switches are used for the Sustainiac pickup, two-position switch turns it on or off, while the three-position one selects the modes of operation. Neck is made of three pieces of maple and it features a set-in joint. It`s topped with an ebony fingerboard with 24 extra jumbo frets. Offset dot inlays complete the fingerboard. Grover tuners with black chrome plating are installed on the headstock and scale measures 25-1/2" in length. The MSRP for Special Edition Blackjack SLS Avenger FR-S is set at $1,499. There are three color options available for this model: Satin Black, Crimson Red Burst and See Thru Blue Burst.
