PT is an experienced and seasoned warrior in Schecter`s ranks. Besides the small, but vital PT series, PT models have been known to make their appearances in Hellraiser, Damien and other metal-oriented series. PT line is oriented more towards the modern rock and hard rock styles, though some classic heavy metal is well within the reach of these Telecaster-shaped six-stringers. For 2014, PT series is getting the new standard model, the PT. It is a solid and single-cut guitar based on the classic Tele design. It`s fit with modern Schecter styling and modern heavy humbuckers, instead of the classic S/S configuration. Body of this intermediate rocker is made of alder and is paired with a bolted maple neck. Metallic Gold with gloss finish, creme binding and chrome-plated hardware is the only color option available for the new standard PT. PT is fit with a modern Schecter variant of the classic Tele bridge. It is a six-saddled hardtail with string-through construction and chrome plating. Schecter Diamond Super Rock II pickups are featured in both the bridge and neck positions. Master volume and master tone knobs are featured in the controls unit and are accompanied by a three-way toggle pickup switch. Tone knob is mounted with a push/pull switch. Maple neck rocks the standard thin C contour in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.
