Michael Kelly`s 1950s series is a line of affordable Telecaster-inspired electric guitars. The basic idea behind the awesome looking lineup is to mix the best of the classic styling and modern tone Michael Kelly`s guitars are known for. 53DB is a supercharged variant of the series` core model - 1953. Instead of two singles, it rocks a pair of humbuckers (a feature not seen on original Teles until 70s). Other than that, it rocks a pretty similar set of core features as the basic `53. The list includes a solid alder body, two-piece flamed maple top, bolt-on maple neck (modern C profile) and 22-fret maple fingerboard (medium jumbo frets, 25-1/2" scale, 10.5" radius). Main hardware and electronics appointments include a Tele-styled bridge, die-cast tuners and Rockfield humbucking pickups (both pickups can be split independently).
