Music Man`s Sterling brand is made to offer some of the affordable six and four-string models, which are not fitting in the Music Man catalog. design of Sterling`s models is made with clear idea that they belong to the Music Man family and they feature much of family traits. SUB series offers some affordable double cut guitars with solid build and familiar Music Man-styled design. SUB Silo 3 is a solid-bodied double cut guitar with a body made of hardwood. This body has carved top, even though there`s no top wood cover on it. Also, it has a plastic pickguard. There is no binding around the edges of the top. Black, White and Metallic Red are color options available for this model and they all come finished in satin. Bridge section is equipped with a tremolo bridge with string-through-body construction. Also, it is plated in chrome. Pickups come in HSS configuration. They are passive and controlled through master volume, master tone and five-position blade switch. Maple neck i bolted to the body with five-bolt joint. Asymmetrical contour brings wider bass side and thinner treble side. Fingerboard is made either of maple or rosewood and both come with 22 medium frets with dot inlays. Scale is 25-1/2" long on this one and chrome hardware wraps the specs list.

I Ive just got it today. HAvent changed strings yet. First impressions and surprises - mine is Made in China, not Indonesia! And very heavy! It must be made of different wood - but what is that?? -I dont like these Mickey Mouse frets - The sound (no effects): is rough, not gentle, not mellow: terrible. I compared it with my Korean Chatting Bird HSH (ok it has more humbies) - and the Chatting Bird sounds recently better and more convenient its neck and the jumbo frets (not extra size). Quality: it seems to ok, I compared it with a Japanese CIJ ST57 strat: believe it, the Strat is not a better job! I think the guitar needs bigger frets, new strings, some mellower pups and can work well. And it is sunburst: very nice outlook indeed
