Taylor`s electric range is made up of three main series - T5, T5z, and T3. All three offer electro-acoustic steel-stringers with hollow bodies and single-cut design. Under the hood, Taylor employs a mixed electronics system, made up of an acoustic body sensor, conventional bridge humbucker, and concealed neck humbucker. Pickups are accompanied by tone control knobs and a five-way switch. T5z Classic is one of several currently active T5z (small body) models. It offers a solid mahogany top, 14th fret neck joint (inherited from the acoustic range), hybrid electronics, and premium hardware. Taylor sells it in Natural and Mahogany Stain options. T5z Classic also offers a solid sapele neck, 21-fret fingerboard made of ebony (1-11/16" Tusq nut, diamond inlays), a fixed acoustic bridge, and Taylor tuners.
