Excalibur Special comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of two centrally-joined pieces of alder. The top on this model is made of flame maple. Also, it is equipped with creme binding, gloss finish and a plastic pickguard. The bridge on Excalibur Special Hardtail comes with a fixed bridge with string-through construction and chrome plating. The pickup combo on this Vigier consists of bridge and neck humbuckers with the addition of middle single coil pickup. They are controlled through master volume, master tone and a five-position blade. The blade also serves as a coil-splitting switch. Maple neck is bolted to the body and equipped with D contour. Fingerboard can be made of either rosewood or maple. Both ways, it comes with 24 medium frets, dot inlays and 1.65" wide Teflon nut. 25-3/5" scale and Vigier tuners complete the specs list.
