Excalibur Special Hardtail is a soloist-shaped model and is features a solid, double cutaway body made of two centrally-joined pieces of alder. The top on this model is made of flamed maple and it is bound in creme. Also, it features gloss finish and plastic pickguard. The bridge on this model is a fixed one with strings running through the body. Pickups compartment is equipped with three pickups in H/S/H configuration. They are controlled through a simple layout of master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch. The neck on Excalibur Special is made of maple and it is equipped with a D contour. Rosewood and maple can be used for fingerboard. Either way 24 medium frets with dot inlays and 1.65" teflon nut are installed upon it. 25-3/5" scale and Vigier tuners complete the specs list.
