Parallaxe marks Washburn`s triumphant return to the market of metal axes. A while ago, Washburn`s metal guitars were among the most popular, mainly thanks to Dimeabg, Nuno Bettencourt and Paul Stanley signature models. Over the time, however, Washburn shifted their focus to other sections of the catalog and has lost the edge over the competition. 2013 Musikmesse booth will be dedicated to the introduction and promotion of the Parallaxe sub-brand, which is completely devoted to metal guitars. Initial lineup consists of three series: PXM, PXS and PXL. PXM and PXS deal with double-cut guitars, which the PXL deals with single-cut guitars. PXS20FR is one of six models in the PXS series lineup. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of alder back with flame maple top. Top is painted in Trans Black with black hardware featured on the body and headstock. Bridge is a Floyd Rose tremolo system with Seymour Duncan humbuckers being installed in the front. TB6 is in the bridge and Jazz is in the neck position. Set in neck is made of a single piece of quarter-sawn maple. Ebony fingerboard features 24 super jumbo frets, dot inlays, custom 12th fret inlay and locking string nut. Grover tuners, 25-1/2" scale and Buzz Feiten tuning system complete this guitar.
