Alvarez`s Artist series has four basic tiers - 30, 60, 70, and 80 (with the additional tier 90 reserved for ukulele models). Some of these tiers, 60 and 70 in particular, feature sub-tiers with variant models. AF66 belongs to the 66 sub-tier, an all-mahogany alternative to the standard tier 60. The fully acoustic 66 sports the non-cutaway folk body, a standard 14th fret neck joint, 21-fret fingerboard, and forward-shifted bracing. The MSRP is set at $499 and AF66 comes only in Shadowburst color (w/gloss finish, chrome-plated hardware, abalone rosette). Other notable features include laminated mahogany back & sides, solid mahogany top, round mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard (1-3/4" bone nut, 12th fret inlay, 24-13/16" scale) and standard-shaped rosewood bridge.
