As a subsidiary brand of Ovation, the Applause is dedicated to the lower portion of the market and the production of the more affordable guitars than those with an Ovation name plate. The AA12 is a part of the Applause`s Mini Series of acoustic guitars and it has a scaled down concert cutaway body made of spruce top and composite back and sides. The top is available in natural gloss finish with creme binding and an elaborate rosette. The bridge is made of rosewood with black pins and white plastic saddle. The neck on this 22-1/2" scaled guitar is made of maple and has a set-in joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood with 20 frets, dot inlays and 1.6535" synthetic bone nut. The MSRP is set at $249.
