AS is Cort`s top acoustic guitar series with the center of attention being placed on the tone the models produce. The series is made up of jumbos and dreadnoughts with and without a cutaway, made of solid tonewoods and equipped with the top of the line features. AS-M5 2012 model is a new one in the series and it is a dreadnought with a venetian cutaway, this flat top guitar is available only in satin natural finish with white binding. There is no pickguard featured on this model. The sound hole is adorned with a multiple abalone rosette. The bridge on this model features a belly shape with black pins and white saddle. Electronics on AS-M5 2012 Model consist of a Matrix pickup and Fishman Ellipse Blend preamp with on-board controls placed on the side of the guitar. The neck on this model is made of mahogany and features a dovetail joint at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and it features 20 frets with dot inlays. Other features on this model include: 25-1/3" scale, die-cast tuning machines and scalloped X bracing.
