MR740FX is a model from MR Series` 700 range of acoustic-electric dreadnoughts. Fishman Premium SOB preamp and Matrix pickup comprise the electronics unit for this model. All models except MR-E have Fihsman electronics, but MR-E has Cort pickup and preamp. MR740FX comes with a single-cut designed dreadnought body made of rosewood and spruce. Rosewood is used for back and side panels, while the spruce is used for the sound board on the top. Top panel is equipped with abalone binding and single circle rosette. Pickguard is omitted from the specs list. Hardware is plated in nickel and includes a set of six tuning machines on the headstock. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it has a 14th fret dovetail joint. 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
