SFX is a line of modern shaped and equipped models aimed primarily at the younger population of players. The series traits and appointments suggest these are sophisticated and future oriented instruments. SFX-DAO is a new six-string model for 2012 in the SFX series and it starts off with a cutaway SFX body with a flat top and ivoroid binding. It is only available in natural color. There are no pickguards featured on this model to achieve the maximum resonance and tone projection. Triple tiger acryl sound hole rosette completes the body specs. As all models from the SFX series, the SFX-DAO isalso an acoustic-electric model. Electronics department features ceramic pickup and Cort CE304T preamp with on-board controls mounted on the side of the guitar. The neck on this model is made of mahogany and features a dovetail joint at the 14th fret. The shape of the neck is a slimmed down "V" contour. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and has 20 frets with white dot position inlays. Other features include: 25-3/5" scale, die-cast tuning machines and x bracing.

For a cheaper range of guitar the cort sfx produces a nice acoustic sound, it is comfortable to play and looks great.
