Tennessee A/E Mandolin is one of three models introduced into the Folk series for 2013. It comes with an A-styled body and combined vintage and modern styling. It`s body is made of maple back and sides with select spruce sound board on top. This combination of tonewoods gives a bright and strong tone suitable for all types of folk and traditional music. It is also often used on full-sized acoustic guitars with steel-string construction. There`s only one color option available for this model and it is black with high gloss finish. Color choice by Dean tells this mandolin is made primarily for the young players in search of their own voice and appearance. Bridge section is a classic one. It sports a fixed rosewood bridge with trapezoid tailpiece in the back. Electronics section on this mandolin includes a piezo pickup in combination with a side-mounted preamp. Volume and tone controls are featured on the preamp. Maple neck has standard contour in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. 13-7/8" scale, vintage-styled tuners and 1-1/8" string nut complete the specs list for Tennessee A/E Mandolin.
