Pro-1 Ultra is the top model of the affordable PRO-1 series and is the only one among the starting four able to compete with the lower intermediate class steel-stringers made by other manufacturers on the US market. Also, it is the only one with the single-cut design and electronics. Epiphone makes this reliable six-stringer in five color variants: Natural, Wine Red, Blueburst, Ebony and Vintage Sunburst. All of them are finished in gloss and all have chrome-plated hardware. Laminated mahogany is used for the back and side panels, while the solid spruce sound board is fit on the top (top is the only major part made of solid wood). This combo is common for the entire series, except the PRO-1 Classic (it has a cedar top). Bridge section is fit with a standard rosewood bridge with NuBone string saddles. Electronics section is fit with a NanoFlex™ pickup and Shadow preamp installed on the side of the body facing the player. Standard set of controls is featured, including volume, tone and tuner. Neck is made of mahogany and it rocks the cool and slim C contour in the back. On it`s top, there`s the series standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. The MSRP is set at $329
