Fender`s Custom Shop is in business for over 20 years, now. It started back in 1987 and it is still the premier section of Fender Musical Instruments. Their electric guitars and basses are the finest of the finest Fender models in the production and for 2013 Custom Shop is given new acoustic segment. It currently consists of two series with a total of nine models. Collector`s Custom and Pro Custom are their names and Collector`s Custom extravagant models cost significantly more. Pro Custom is oriented more towards the players who like more traditional design of acoustic guitars. Classic Koa Auditorium Cutaway is the premier model of the series with it`s single-cut body made entirely of Hawaiian koa wood. Top panel of the body is bound in ivoroid binding and decorated with beautiful discrete abalone rosette. There`s no pickguard featured on this model. Bridge is made of ebony and it`s equipped with bone saddle. Electronics are standard for the Custom Shop models and include Fishman`s Matrix Infinity system. Mahogany neck is equipped with vintage C contour in the back and a 20-fret ebony fingerboard on top. Golden hardware and 25-5/8" scale wrap the specs list up.
