J-35 is one of seven models Gibson`s Acoustic division introduced into the Jumbo series for 2017. With the price tag of $1,849 it is the second most affordable Jumbo series novelty (J-15, the series` opening model costs $1,499).
J-35 comes in with a non-cutaway jumbo body (also known as slope-shouldered dreadnought) made of mahogany back and sides and solid Sitka spruce top. The flat-top and vintage-decorated body is paired with a one-piece mahogany neck with round profile and 14th fret joint (hot hide glue construction). 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (one-piece) tops the neck.
Major hardware and electronics features include L.R. Baggs electronics (famous Element VTC system), vintage white-button tuning pegs and solid rosewood bridge (Tusq saddle).
