Gibson J-45 Vintage (2017)
Round Shoulder Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Gibson
Round Shoulder Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Gibson
J-45, "The Workhorse", is one of the longest-serving guitars ever made. Also, it is one of the best selling acoustics ever made. Introduced in 1942 into the J series, J-45 had just about the right combination of tonewoods, hardware and tone.
J-45 Vintage is Gibson`s tribute to the 45s of the yesteryear. It is the most expensive 45 in the current lineup, coming in at $3,999 (almost double the Standard model`s price). Solid mahogany and thermally cured Adirondack red spruce comprise the non-cutaway body, which is combined with one-piece mahogany neck and one-piece rosewood fingerboard.
Other notable features include period correct tuners (plated in nickel), mother of pearl dot inlays, bone nut & saddle, solid rosewood bridge, tortoise pickguard and hand-rubbed and oiled fingerboard & bridge.
