Back in 1936, Gibson introduced the Advanced Jumbo series, which was replaced by J-200 Super Jumbo (the precursor of all modern SJ-200 models) after only 300 produced units. The then-new Super Jumbo concept was an immediate success, quickly rising to rival Martin`s dreadnought in popularity. SJ-200 VS 2018 is the only Super Jumbo for 2018; it is the most expensive item in 2018 Gibson Acoustic lineup, coming in at $5,099. Classic SJ-200 styling, solid tonewoods, modern, unintrusive electronics, and top-shelf hardware make up this steel-stringed gem. Vintage Sunburst is the only member of the color palette. Key features include solid maple back & sides, solid Sitka spruce top, 2-piece maple neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup, 2-bar Mustache bridge, and Grover tuners.
