Super Jumbo Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Gibson
SJ-200 started out as J-200 back in 1937 and got renamed to SJ (Super Jumbo) 200 in 1939. Due to its price and very limited quantities, SJ-200 was named "King of the Flattops". Today`s Gibson catalog features many J and SJ-200 models, covering a wide price range.
SJ-200 Standard is the second most expensive SJ in Gibson`s 2017 catalog, sporting a $4,349 price tag (SJ-200 Vintage costs $5,499). The Standard comes in with a non-cutaway body made of solid flamed maple back and sides and solid Sitka spruce top. Two-piece maple neck, with one-piece rosewood fingerboard on top, completes this beauty.
Other prominent features include historical inlays on headstock, fingerboard and pickguard, Mustache-shaped granadillo bridge and gold-plated Grover tuners.
