AE series is the new flagship line of Ibanez acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. It draws heavily from the rich Ibanez tradition and builds upon it, taking the brand in new and exciting direction. AE205JR is the series` smallest axe, coming in at 23-9/10" of scale length. This travel/mini rocks the AE body, in-house electronics, elegant styling, and a big tone (worthy of a full-sized guitar). Open Pore Natural (w/chrome hardware, thin lacquer finish, black plastics) is the only available color option. It sells for around $400. The model highlights include a single-cut body (mahogany back/sides, solid Sitka spruce top), a mahogany neck (series standard contour, 14th fret dovetail joint), 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard (custom-designed inlays, 1.69" nut), ovangkol bridge, Ibanez pickup/preamp combo, and die-cast tuners.
