Since the series inception, a couple of years ago, AE245 was the series` basic full-size model (245JR and 205JR were short-scaled options). The new 2018 AE245 is available in both right-hand and left-hand options, which is one of the smartest moves made in AE lineup for 2018. AE245L is a single-cut, acoustic-electric axe, with custom electronics, 25.6" scale, scalloped X bracing, 14th fret dovetail joint, and modern AE body. Natural High Gloss is the only available color option. Core construction features include a single-cut and flat body (mahogany back/sides/neck, black binding, tortoise pickguard), a mahogany neck (satin finish, AE profile), an ovangkol fingerboard (1.73" bone nut, 15.75" radius, custom inlays), an ovangkol bridge, T-Bar pickup (w/external preamp), and die-cast tuners.
