The new flagship model of the also flagship series is AE800, with AE510 being the second in command. 510 is an upgraded and improved AE500 which was introduced at 2017 NAMM. The color palette of this suave six-stringer is currently limited to Natural High Gloss (w/chrome-plated hardware, black/abalone combined inlays & binding, vintage/modern bound headstock, black plastics). Core construction features include a single-cut AE body (solid pau ferro back/sides, solid Sitka spruce, tortoise pickguard), a mahogany neck (AE contour, 14th fret dovetail joint), a 20-fret pau ferro fingerboard (1.73" bone nut, 25.6" scale, 15.75" radius, custom-designed inlays), a pau ferro fixed bridge, special electronics, and Gotoh tuners.
