Ever since they were standardized, back in the mid-19th century, classical guitars have remained a mainstay of guitar industry. They`ve survived the appearance and rise of steel-stringed acoustics, as well as the six-decade long domination of ubiquitous solid-bodied electrics. Mainly unchanged, classical guitars still form a big class on the world market. Moreover, Ibanez started out as a brand of classical guitars. At 2016 NAMM, however, Ibanez has opted to introduce only one classical guitar. It came with a 14th fret joint, 21-fret fingerboard, single-cut body and a slightly narrower nut than usual.
GA35CE is a standard-sized classical guitar with single-cut body, acoustic-electric construction and elegant styling. The body of this amplified nylon-stringer is made of mahogany (back and sides) and spruce (sound board). The neck is made of mahogany and features a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (though 19 is the standard). 1.81" nut, flat radius and offset dot inlays complete the fingerboard. Preamp/pickup system featured on this guitar is made up of Ibanez under-saddle pickup and also Ibanez AEQ210T preamp with on-board tuner. Fixed rosewood bridge and classical tuning pegs complete this affordable nylon-stringer.
