PF series is probably the most important among the smaller acoustic guitar series in Ibanez catalog, while the Artwood range is the undisputed king of the entire acoustic segment. PF series is made up of two main types of guitars, PF models with dreadnought bodies and PC models with grand concert bodies. For 2014, Ibanez is updating this series with six models (three PF and three PC models) and PC15ECE is the only acoustic-electric PC model. This intermediate grand concert six-stringer kicks off with the tested and tried base made of mahogany and spruce. Back and sides of the body are made of mahogany, while the top is made of spruce. This combination gives a strong, potent, yet very balanced tone, thus loved by both the finger-pickers and strummers. Ivoroid binding, black pickguard and standard triple-circle rosette decorate the body of this intermediate steel-stringer. Rosewood bridge on the top is fit with a compensated saddle and Ibanez Advantage string pins. Ibanez under-saddle pickup is combined with the famous AEQ2T preamp (also Ibanez). Preamp is installed on the side of the body and features all the volume and tone controls, as well as a digital tuner. Mahogany neck is attached to the body with a 14th fret dovetail joint and is topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
