Parlor guitars used to be the standard in the steel-string world, until the jumbo and dreadnought appeared in the early 20th century. Since then, parlor has become a sort of a "niche" guitar, mostly appreciated and played by blues guitarists. Luckily, Ibanez and several other brands are bringing back the parlor in its full glory.
PN1 is Performance (PF) series model and it rocks the so-called parlor 2 body contour, characterized by extremely narrow upper bout. PN1`s back and sides are made of rosewood, while the top is made of spruce. Flat-top body also features ivory binding and a vintage-styled rosette. The neck is made of mahogany and it features the vintage 12th fret joint. On its top, there `s an 18-fret rosewood fingerboard. Rosewood bridge and vintage-styled tuners complete the specs list.
