AEW series features two body depths - the standard and shallow. Models with standard depth are designated AEW, while the thin ones are named AEWC. A pair of AEWC models, along with one fanned-fret (FF) model were introduced into the AEW lineup at this year`s NAMM.
AEWC31BC is one of the thin-bodied models introduced. It comes with a single-cut mahogany/bocote body and series-standard mahogany neck. The body has mahogany back and sides and bocote top (with open pore natural finish and black binding). The neck`s equipped with regular AEW profile in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (with dot inlays, 1.69" nut and 15.75" radius) on top.
Main electronics and hardware features include chrome-plated die-cast tuners, Fishman Sonicore pickup, Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp and dual (1/4" and XLR) output jacks.
