Sage series from Ibanez is positioned within the catalog as an entry-level series of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars with a special accent on a wide palette of colors. For, the unofficial motto of this series is "Who says that beginners guitar can`t look and sound great". Considering the price range, these guitars really do sound great. SGT220 is one of the novelties for the summer 2012 and it is a fully acoustic dreadnought with non-cutaway design. Currently, the black color with high gloss finish is the only color option available. It is matched with a set of chrome-plated hardware. Body of this guitar is made of mahogany back and sides and spruce top. Top is bound in creme binding and equipped with a black plastic pickguard. Bridge section is equipped with a standard shaped bridge made of rosewood. There are no pickups or preamps installed on this dread, though a tuner is featured in electronics compartment. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it is attached to the body with a dovetail joint. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets. dot inlays, 12" radius and 1.69" wide ivorex II string nut complete the fingerboard. 25-1/2" scale and die-cast tuners complete the specs list.
