Macassar Burst
DX1AE has been around for quite a while, serving as X series` main dreadnought model. After long years of faithful service, the perennial dread`s been overhauled for 2018 model season. the new "AE" comes in with a full-sized, non-cutaway body, standard 25-2/5" scale, 14th fret dovetail joint, non-scalloped spruce X-bracing under the hood, and Fishman`s Sonitone pickup/preamp electronics system. Back and sides of the body are made of HPL (High Pressure Laminate) with Macassar ebony pattern, while the top is genuine Sitka spruce (w/Tobacco Sunburst paint job, tortoise pickguard, single-circle rosette). Martin`s set the list price at $849.00 for DX1AE. Other notable features include a brown birch neck w/richlite fingerboard, a fixed richlite bridge, and die-cast tuners.
