Xs usually sport laminated tonewoods, affordable materials, and low-cost electronics. DX2MAE is one of the latest additions to the series` roster, along with DX420, DX1AE (2018), and others. Main offerings include a non-cutaway dreadnought body, standard 14th fret dovetail joint, 25-2/5" scale, and Fishman`s Sonitone electronics system (pickup + preamp). Natural (w/mahogany pattern) is the only available color option. The HPL (high-pressure laminate) body has no particular finish, while the neck sports the hand-rubbed satin finish. Other notable features include an FSC-certified fingerboard made of black richlite, fixed richlite bridge, and die-cast tuning machines. List price is set at $729.
