DX1AE is a model from Martin`s X series and it comes with a full-sized dreadnought shape with single cutaway design. Back and side panels on this model are made of high pressure laminated veneers of mahogany, while the sound board is made of high pressure spruce laminates. The top features no binding,, due to the price range in which it is situated. On the other hand, tortoise pickguard and single circle rosette are featured. Belly shaped bridge on this dreadnought is made of black richlite. In the electronics area, Martin opted for Fishman`s budget friendly Sonitone amplification system. Neck is made of rust stratabond and it is equipped with an oval contour. Fingerboard is made of black richlite and it is equipped with 20 frets without inlays and 1-11/16" corian nut.
