DXME is one of many dreadnought-shaped guitars in the X series. It comes with a non-cutaway body with acoustic-electric construction. Fishman`s Presys Plus with on-board tuner is installed onto the side of the body. Made for left-handed guitarists, this model comes with a full-sized body made of laminated mahogany back and sides and laminated spruce sound board on top. Laminated construction allows Martin to sell X series guitars under $1,000. Under the sound board X-styled bracing is installed, it`s made of spruce. Discreet binding, tortoise shell pickguard and single circle rosette decorate the top panels of this model. Rust stratabond neck is equipped with oval contour and mortise & tenon joint. Black richlite is used for both the bridge and fingerboard. Hardware is plated in chrome.
