Martin`s X series is Martin`s attempt at reaching out to players who can not afford to spend a few thousands on a guitar. The series features a wide variety of models with laminated tonewoods and mortise and tenon neck joints. DX1E is a non-cutaway dreadnought model made of spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides. It is available in natural gloss. The bridge is made of black richlite with white pins. The electronics department consists of Fishman PreSys preamp with a chromatic tuner and controls mounted on the side of the guitar. The neck is made of rust stratabond with an oval contour and set-in joint. Black richlite fingerboard has 20 frets, no inlays and 1.6875" wide corian nut. The MSRP is set at $889.
